Endowment funds are different from annual giving to the Foundation. Year-to-year giving is usually dispersed within the year the gift is made. The Endowment funds remain in trust with the Foundation to grow and provide income for the future. Endowment funding provides the financial strength to act with confidence for the long-term goals of the “excellence in education” mission of the Foundation.
Endowment funds are held for the long-term investment returns to fund future grants for the generations to follow. The Endowment principal funds are not used for grants - only the income generated each year can be used. The Foundation’s long term goal is to grow our endowment fund to support all grant applications in the future.
